Kim and Glenn made a wonderful thanksgiving feast. The girls are getting so big.  Ava is becoming more grown up, Elle is still her cute little self.  They are growing up way too fast!  I miss them so when I return to Arizona!  I hope they can come to visit me one day soon.  Giving thanks to family and friends!

I went to the www.artunraveled.com this weekend and took a class from Jane LaFazio and I will take one from Lori Scott tomorrow in eco dyeing.  Met some new friends there too.

I took www.janelafazio.blogspot.com sketch and watercolor class. 10 objects 10 ways.   What fun that was!

Using my watercolor pen, I luv that pen.

These are some ceramic buttons I got from www.Vickimorrow.com

This is a little book I got from www.terriemeider.com

My girls had their dance recital last weekend.  Elle was a cloud, doesn't she just look like a sweet little cloud.  Ava was a tree, she looks like a tall tree.  I wish I could have seen them at their recital. I am sure they danced beautifully.
I took another wonderful class at www.theocassionalartist.com with Dina Wakley http://dinastamps.typepad.com/.  We made these with plaster, painted and carved them, then covered them with wax.  At that point you could carve some more or if you didn't like what you carved in teh wax, you could melt it again and start over.  This was so much fun. I never would have done this on my own so it was great to take a class.  Thanks Dina!

This is a class I took at  www.theoccasionalartist.com yesterday with http://dinastamps.typepad.com/.  It was called Inky Tag Book.   It was soooooo much fun and look at the cool book and tages we made.  Love the colors!
The tags are so much fun to do.  It is fun to get your hands are "painty", I should have worn gloves.  Oh well, next time.

I took a drawing, lettering, art awareness class from Terrie Meider. This class was so much fun!  Next month we are "coloring" the drawings.  I can hardly wait!!!
You should try to join me and have some fun! Anyone can draw...even me

The girls in Ocean City, Maryland

The girls had a great time in Ocean City this on spring break.  The Atlantic looks beautiful!  Earlier in the week it looked very cold, but this day it looks wonderfuly warm.  Aren't the girls adorable....

Spring Day

It has been such a beautiful spring here in Arizona this year.  Mostly in the 60-80's this spring.  Of course, I like the 60's, but most people like the 80's.  I love the cool weather!  My lantana is blooming so nicely and the Palo Verde's are dripping yellow flowers.  It is the calm before the storm, summer will be here soon....like next week.  yuck   Can't complain, it's beautiful today!

Christmas Swap 2011

Look at the great bag and placemats I got from by swap mate from New Zealand! I love bags so I definitely love this one! Thank you so much Catherine!
Notice the placemats, they are adorable, but due to the US and all their "supersize" promos our dinner plates will barely fit on these placemats. Remember when our dinner plates were smaller and everyone ate less.....what a concept! I think I will buy some plates that will fit on these adorable placemats.
